    Is Kajka lid compatible with this? The draw cord and ability to use it as a day pack are great!

    •  2 года назад +2

      Hi, The Kajka top lid is bigger than the lid on the Keb 72 and the buckles are different, so it does not fit.

    Can tou tell me the differences between man and woman version (as both have lenght ajustability)
    : I m a man with narrow waist but large shoulder...

    •  8 месяцев назад +1

      The women´s backpack has curved should straps and the hip belt has a slightly different angle. The other style is actually not a "men´s" backpack, it is unisex. For years we produced backpacks to fit all, but then we introduced a women´s backpack which is more optimized for the female anatomy.

    Where do you suggest one puts their wet tarp and rain gear?
    Thank you.

    •  2 года назад +1

      Hi, You want easy access to water proof jacket or trousers, so you can have them on top in the main compartment or in front pocket. About tarp you can have it in a water proof bag and put it in the main compartment. Here is a guide how to pack which I hope will be useful: and it is also a video in the link: foxtrail.fjallraven.com/articles/backpack-tips

      @ I own a Keb 72 and love it. One thing that would be great though would be some loops on the top of the lid for owners to have the option to put bungee cord through to make a place to stash jackets/fix wet gear to dry or solar panels to. A pair of small webbing loops on the bottom of the pack as well would give users options to add their own straps if they like to store large/heavy items like four season tents on the outside of the pack if needed (I know some will fit within the side strap system but the option to store larger items like this on the bottom to balance the load better would be great!). Other than that, I love this pack and look forward to taking it to Sarek either this summer or next!

    What is the volume ratio of the main compartment and the pockets? I’m asking as the size of the pack is the same as my abisko 65.

    •  4 года назад +1

      Hi, I don´t have the precise volume of the front pocket, but it is somewhere around 10L. The pockets in the hip belt is not included in the total volume.

I used to love fjällräven, they make great quality gear. But they have fallen way behind times. They make gear that is double or even tripple the weight of other companys like patagonia and such. Plus they still use cotton in most of there things....

    "all-season backpack for long trips on foot" I don't get it, it weights almost 3 kilos, how can you hike long trips with a fully loaded pack like this without injuries? The design is ok, but I have doubts about the usability.

    • @MikeS-7
      @MikeS-7 4 года назад

      I would like to see them develop a pack focused on thru-hikers for trails like the AT, CDT, and PCT. Perhaps a bit less durable and much lighter (2-3 lbs range), but with Fjallraven quality.

    • @Gravelish
      @Gravelish 4 года назад +3

      So if your pack weights 25kg instead of 24kg will brake your back and cause injuries?

    • @peterkleczli
      @peterkleczli 4 года назад

      @@Gravelish It depends on what you call long trips. If the average user of this pack walks 8-10 km daily with this, he might be fine. But I usually hike at least 30km a day, and the weight penalty on this pack is just too much. Not to mention for the price of this bag, you can get far better/lighter gear.

    • @etherealmongoose734
      @etherealmongoose734 4 года назад +1

      From what I understand the carrying system makes up for it. For example if you compared this with another brand such as Osprey or Gregory, and fit both to weigh 40 pounds each, the Fjallraven will *feel* lighter while on the trail. The durability is also second to none as far as I'm aware. This pack should outlast everything else if properly taken care of.

    • @ghjk193
      @ghjk193 Год назад

      I know this is a pretty old comment but I just wanted to say that what you imagine as a long trek is something like the pct. Where resupply is readily available. For other more remote parts of the world that isn't the case and an ultra light pack won't get you far if you have to carry alot and I mean alot of weight.

    Make it waterproof like a drybag and I'd buy one and spruik it to all my photojournalist friends..
